Of course, the other huge advantage to our Collars is they will not corrode in the Subframe due to being Stainless Steel!
So What are Subframe Locking Collars and what do they do?
When a car is manufactured, Subframe's are often built up elsewhere on the production line as an assembly (Subframe, Engine, Gearbox, Control Arms etc) and presented to the body of the vehicle. This is an efficient way of building cars, and to make the mating of the Subframe to Body easier, the bolt holes are often made larger than they need to be. This is fine for a road car which sees low speeds and normal use but can become an issue on track vehicles.
Track or Race cars could experience movement in the Subframe, also hard cornering over curbs, contact, or ending up off track at speed can easily shift the subframe out of position, in turn unsettling your alignment settings.
